Supporting Our Heroes

For some, the biggest battle begins after the war or the game is over

LEARNING TO FOCUS ON A NEW MISSION

From the battlefield to the playing field, our veterans and athletes exemplify strength, excellence, and dedication. However, many find it difficult to redirect these qualities into a new mission that provides meaning and purpose—to lead themselves, support their families, and strengthen their communities.

MVP was founded to address this challenge, ensuring that our nation’s warriors can continue to thrive and make a lasting impact off the field as they did on it.

FOUNDER | MERGING VETS & PLAYERS

“Vulnerability is what makes us so damn strong and badass. It’s not the muscles or the gun battles, the punches or shoulder pads, it’s the heart we show and tears we flow together that truly show our strength.”

“MVP and the Zoom sessions have been a blessing to me, due to the fact that I live 58 miles away from POW Gym where the Chicago chapter meets. It has brought the camaraderie back that I was missing!”

Kevin Fuller

“The virtual sessions help me stay connected to my MVP family in these hard and uncertain times we are facing. It puts my family at ease little more because they don’t have to worry about my anxiety or PTSD getting the better of me while I’m out away from them during these times. The meetings mean a lot to me, to be able to find additional support outside of my family that has more of an understanding of what I’m experiencing, can talk to me, and help.”

NATE BOYER

NATE BOYER

“Both war fighters and football players need something to fight for once the uniform comes off, and your service to country or time on the field is over. Without real purpose for the man on your right and left, it can be easy to feel lost.”

Alge Crumpler

MVP Atlanta | NFL Alumni

“We’re former players and combat veterans working together on physically challenging exercises and then coming together for a breakdown session to get everything off our chest. This is my new locker room and you’re welcome to join.”

Eric Wilson

“I only had one week live, which was before the opening night of the NY Chapter earlier this year in March. It has meant the world to me to have the opportunity to continue this program virtually!”

“When you retire or leave the service, it is like being cut from a sports team. You lose your sense of purpose and many of your friends. MVP is like putting the band back together after many years.”

Dan Castorena

“I truly do enjoy spending a couple of hours on Thursday nights working out, talking about whatever and seeing everyone’s faces. Some new faces and some of the usual Vets/Players, I am so happy I found this team when I did, it was for a reason.”

Jahaira Farias

Jahaira Farias

“MVP has inspired me to help others during this time, which in turn helps me get out of my own head from my PTSD turmoil. I can’t speak for others but I plan to give my all to this organization because of what it does for me and other veterans, former athletes, and fighters. MVP builds leaders.”

Ben Effinger

“When I came to MVP, I didn’t trust many in the veteran community and largely keep my veteran identity to myself. Being part of MVP has shown me how to be proud of my service and all of the scars that came with it.”
